DG Steve Ivory joined Roswell Rotary President Trummie Lee Patrick and Roswell Mayor Kurt Wilson in congratulating Captain Mealor as the Roswell Rotary Club September Hometown Hero of the month.

“It’s not just his military service or his fire service record that stands out but rather his consistent commitment to growth, service and community.  We are fortunate to have Captain Jeff Mealor as part of the Roswell Fire Department family,” said Roswell Fire Chief Pabel Troche.

Captain Mealor is a proud U.S. Army Veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart.  He joined the Roswell Fire Department in 2022 where he has built a record of protecting property, saving lives and leading with integrity as the Captain of the Heavy Rescue Special Operations Unit.  He has an unwavering commitment to excellence in his crew because he invests heavily in training and department projects ensuring his team is prepared for any challenge.  His mentorship of the young firefighters has strengthened morale and shaped the next generation of the Roswell Fire Department.
