On Sunday, September 14, 2025, the Rotary Club of Atlanta West End brought our signature energy and purpose to Atlanta Streets Alive on Peachtree Street. Our booth, located at 5th and Peachtree, was just a couple of blocks from our longtime meeting spot at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center.
We interacted with countless
neighbors, community partners, and even visiting Rotarians from around the
country. Together, we shared stories of our local and international service,
from cultivating a STEAM garden at M. Agnes Jones Elementary with our District
Grant funds to delivering ultrasound technology to clinics in South Africa
through a grant-funded collaborative international service project.
Most importantly, we
connected with people who care about building a stronger, healthier, and more
united Atlanta. Some may even become future members of our club! Many thanks to
our dedicated members who shared their time and stories with such warmth and
enthusiasm. Our thanks as well to Membership Chair Sonia Hantman for capturing
the day in photos.
If you missed us in
September, you have another opportunity to join us. On Sunday, October 26,
2025, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM, Atlanta Streets Alive will return, this time
connecting West End to Grant Park. We will be set up near the Krispy Kreme on
Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard by the West End Mall.
Atlanta Streets Alive is more than a walk or bike ride. It is a reimagining of our shared public space that invites community members to explore, engage, and connect. We invite all Rotarians and neighbors to come see us, learn more about our work, and experience Rotary in action.
