From Our District Governor
Celebrating the Holidays and the Spirit of Giving

I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with friends and family. This is a very exciting time of year as we head into holiday season. Most of you all are likely beginning to do lots of fun stuff like: shop, prepare to travel, plan to attend/host holiday parties with your clubs and family and friends and of course, close out the year for work. I wish everyone an amazing holiday season!

I want to remind you all, on behalf of RI President Francesco, that December is Rotary’s Disease Prevention and Treatment month. There are many global gaps in physical and mental health care access. As Rotarians, we can help out with these causes and keep driving towards a polio free world and help those with mental health needs with our investments, support and training. See the article below about grants available to help fight the opioid crisis.

Please remember to take advantage of year end (you can save on taxes) to review where you and your clubs are for foundation and polio plus giving and encourage any last month of the year giving so we can close out 2025 strong and begin our new calendar with great outlooks for the year. I also want to remind each of you that our friends in Jamaica still need any support you can provide. If you are able, kindly consider donating to District 7020 to help their country recover from the recent devastating Hurricane Melissa.

As we turn the corner to 2026, I want to remind you all to register for the April 16-19, 2026 District Conference at Lake Lanier! We have an amazing event planned.

I wish everyone, again, a great holiday season and a safe and Happy New Year!
