Mike Irvin (Rotary Club of Dunwoody) has requested to step down as District 6900 Chair for Rotary Youth Exchange due to compliance restrictions around Financial Advisors serving in fiduciary roles. District Governor Steve Ivory has appointed Bob MacDonald (Rotary Club of Johns Creek North Fulton) to serve as the new District 6900 Chair.
Mike’s dedication and service to Rotary Youth Exchange have been invaluable, and we deeply appreciate his contributions in advancing the program. He remains committed to its growth and will continue serving on the district board as Associate Chair, allowing us to focus more on our support for club YEOs and Counselors.
Bob is a retired Investment Advisor and former CEO and Private Equity executive. He first joined Rotary in 1995 in South Carolina and became a member of Rotary Johns Creek North Fulton in 2014. Bob served as Club President in 2017–2018 and was honored as Rotarian of the Year in 2023–2024. He has been deeply involved in Rotary’s Youth Exchange program, serving as his Club’s Youth Exchange Officer before becoming District 6900 Outbound Coordinator in 2023 then Inbound Coordinator in 2024. Bob and his wife, Teri, live in Johns Creek. They are proud parents of two adult children and grandparents to three grandchildren, all residing in the Atlanta area
We are also pleased to welcome two new leaders:
