Balloons Over Dunwoody

The Dunwoody Family of Rotary gathered on July 5 to celebrate the New Rotary Year and fill Dunwoody with helium balloons - marking 30 years since we participated in our first (and Dunwoody's first) annual Fourth of July parade. We marched in the parade between Tim Le's vintage Hummer and Ken Levy's new truck - passing out balloons along the way. Then we welcomed the crowd to our hot dog stand for hot dogs, baked goods, and MORE balloons.

By the time we were done, we can say we put 1,000 balloons in the hands (and trees) of Dunwoody. It's part of our goal to increase Rotary awareness in our community this Rotary year. Thanks to Anne and Clark Glenn for leading our ballooning effort - and to Ed Holliday and Kobelah Svensen Bennah for chairing the hot dog stand!
