The Rotary Club of Tucker has been busy in the community. In November, the club sponsored a Drive-Thru Electronics Recycling Event in November, benefiting Friends of Disabled Adults and Children. RCT volunteers collected over 200 pieces of working and non-working electronics, including forty laptops, along with $3700 worth of home medical equipment, which will be cleaned, refurbished and reissued to FODAC clients. Event participants also donated $600 in cash which will go to FODAC.
In December, a
volunteer team helped with a Saturday morning
food distribution at NETWorks Cooperative Ministry, where they packed grocery
orders for families in need. The team also presented NETWorks with a $2000
check from the Rotary District Grant Program, to support the organization’s
mission to address food insecurity and household poverty.
