Americus Recognizes 2022-23 Stars


At the July 11 meeting of the Rotary Club of Americus and as her last act as 2022-23 club president, Kathryn Moore took the opportunity to recognize club award winners from her year.

  • Hunter Peak earned the Rookie of the Year Award by a landslide for his engagement in the Club projects and programs during his first year. 
  • Laura McConatha took home the Service Above Self Award for the significant contributions she has made to the betterment of life in our community and how selflessly she gives of her time and talents.
  • The 'Decades of Service' Award was presented to Thurston Clary
  • The Rotarian of the Year Award was given to Susan Ruckman.

These well-deserving Rotarians exemplify Service Above Self in both Rotary and their daily lives and it was an honor to recognize them!
