Columbus Joins Forces with Feed the Valley Food Bank

The Rotary Club of Columbus is proud to announce an inspiring start to the new Rotary year with a heartfelt mission to tackle hunger in our community. he Rotary Club's Board of Directors joined forces with Feeding the Valley Food Bank to launch their year through an impactful service project.

Demonstrating the Rotary motto, "Service Above Self," the board members packed 130 mobile pantry boxes, totaling an impressive 3,250 pounds of food. In addition, they prepared 208 buddy packs, ensuring that local school-aged children have nutritious meals to sustain them. In total, their efforts provided a staggering 3,540 meals for families in need within the community.

"This initiative exemplifies the magic of Rotary," said Meredith King, President of the Rotary Club of Columbus. "Our members are committed to making a tangible difference, and starting our Rotary year by addressing hunger reflects our dedication to community service."
