Dunwoody Creates Augello People of Action Award

At its year-end gathering, the Rotary Club of Dunwoody presented its first annual  Augello People of Action Award to Anita and Charlie Augello award. We honored Rotarian Charlie and Honorary Rotarian Anita for their never-ending support of people.  Charlie has served as co-chair for our FORE the Memories! Golf Tournament and one of the key drivers behind our support of Alzheimers - from the global grant we worked on with Rotary Clubs in Italy, to selecting The Longest Day program as our primary recipient of golf tournament funds to leading the way with Anita for our most recent effort to support Anchor Place Respite Care in Dunwoody. Charlie also leads our long time association with the USO - and collects donations from his customers at the East 48th Street Market to help support that effort, and has been involved with programs to End Human Trafficking. Anita leads our efforts at Kingsley Elementary School, where we help provide Thanksgiving baskets for needy families within the school as well as a book for each student during the holidays. And that's just a little of what they do for the community.
