In October, Meriwether County Rotary Club members participated in one-on-one report card conferences with students from Manchester High School and Greenville High School. Rotarian members and other community leaders met with each student during the conferences to review their report card grades, provide career advice and support, and discuss their personal and school interests. This event aimed to offer students positive feedback and encouragement to excel academically.
A
gratifying aspect of the conferences was inviting business and community
leaders into the schools to meet the students and offer their support. This
helped students recognize the caring and support present within the community.
The students sincerely appreciated the event and look forward to the next
report card conference. Our students went into the conference understanding
that many community members care about them.
The
students' anticipation for the next report card conference is a testament to
the event's success. Their deep appreciation and eagerness for the next
conference highlight the positive impact of the Rotary Club's involvement.
