Club News
District Staff Provides Small Group Training

Assistant Governor/District Governor Nominee Cynthia Dorsey Edwards holds monthly Zoom meetings with the Presidents of the clubs she supports to provide assistance and guidance in helping them to achieve their goals and to make sustaining impacts on the communities they service.  During these meetings, several District staff members have joined to provide additional information and/or training to the presidents.  Guests have included Dave Schwickerath, Membership;  Mandy Timmons, Public Image; PDG Alec Smythe, Rotary 6900 Website; Jackie Cuthbert, District Newsletter; and Kay Williamson, District/Community Grants.

In February, Olga Narvaez, Global Grants Chair was guest speaker.  She provided great insights about planning for and applying for Rotary Global Grants. Presidents-Elect, Club Foundation Chairs, and other club members were also invited to attend this month's meeting. Attendees had many questions that Olga answered easily, sharing her expertise in the area. Some clubs have sponsored global grants already and are looking to expand to include more.  Other clubs are just in the exploration phase of becoming involved in global grants.  All found the session very useful.
