Douglas County Feeds the Homeless

The Rotary Club of Douglas County had wonderful weather and a great time at the annual Rotary cookout for residents of Sanctuary Village and the homeless camp behind the courthouse. In addition to a delicious meal of grilled chicken, hamburgers and sides, all guests left with a goodie bag of snacks and toiletries.

Joe Williams headed up the grilling and John Baker provided the ground beef from his farm.

Sanctuary Village provides temporary housing for people going through drug court. It was spearheaded by Judge Bean McClain with a lot of community involvement.
