In May, the Rotary Club of Columbus partnered with its End Human Trafficking Now (EHTN) committeeto host a private reception focused on strengthening community and legislative collaboration in the fight against child sex trafficking. This invitation-only event welcomed approximately 20 attendees, including state and local legislative representatives, Rotary leadership and advocates dedicated to ending human trafficking.
Rather than a public unveiling of the therapeutic garden at the Girls Rise Hoem, the reception centered on a more focused mission:
Many of the elected officials in attendance were visiting the home for the first time, gaining new understanding and appreciation for the social work being done behind the scenes at Micah’s Promise.
”Our club was proud to host this intimate and impactful event, said Club President Meredith King. “It was an opportunity not only to witness the hope and healing happening at Micah’s Promise but to build relationships that can lead to real change in our community and beyond.”
