Bob Hope is known in District 6900 for the annual service trip he leads to Honduras, his work on the 2017 Rotary International Convention, and so much more. He has a long and storied career in public relations, including many years with the Atlanta Braves.

Recently, he shared this story, "A half century ago I regularly joked with Ted Turner that our goal for him was not just getting publicity but to be in the encyclopedia and history books. Encyclopedias have vanished to the internet but he did make history. It never occurred to me that I might become history too. I enjoy the Atlanta History videos in the weekly Saporta Report. Lance Russell does a great job telling stories of our city’s past, mostly what happened prior to 1900. This new episode is both surprising and fun. Not sure what I think of his title, but it seems I am history."
