This summer, the Rotary Club of Atlanta West End took our public image efforts to new heights. Literally.
Through a Media Placement Grant offered by CTR Culture, a program of The
Center Atlanta in partnership with CP Group and ASHA Advisory, our club was
selected to have Rotary featured on one of the Southeast’s largest digital
billboards. The initiative provided nonprofit and cultural organizations with
free access to three massive signs, on what was formerly known as CNN Center,
as part of the launch of The Center’s revitalized civic space.
Our application essay highlighted the diversity, service, and leadership of
our club and the impact of our projects on Atlanta’s Westside. Out of many
applicants, our club advanced to the final round and was approved for
placement.
The result was a 12-story-tall “People of Action” billboard in Rotary’s
signature blue and gold. Displayed on The Center building, next to State Farm
Arena and facing southwest toward Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the sign was most
visible from Centennial Olympic Park Drive. Thousands of residents and visitors
saw a message of Purpose, Community, and Leadership during the display period.
The billboard rotated in daily time blocks from mid-August through August
31, 2025. This high-visibility campaign gave our club a chance to extend
Rotary’s invitation to the city and boost the Rotary Club of Atlanta West End's
visibility.
For our club, this was more than just a sign, it was a vivid, bright, 129-foot tall reminder of the power of public image to inspire interest, attract
new members, and tell Rotary’s story in bold and creative ways.
