FAMILY OF ROTARY
Our membership cares deeply about the needs and concerns of our members. We don’t want to miss an opportunity to reach out in friendship when such concerns arise. The chairperson of this committee is Lynne Lindsey and all news should be directed to her at lynnehlindsay@outlook.com

President's Message Breaking GroundIt is exciting to be back to living up to the idea that Rotarians are People of Action! The Learning Lab project should get concrete footings this week and the container can arrive shortly after that. Once the container is in place we will organize some volunteer work days. So wrap up your honey-do lists at home and get ready to put service above self by working on the learning lab in the near future. Supporting PE Lynne LindsayLisa Carlisle put a 3 part challenge out to the district last week. The challenge included registering for the District Celebration, reaching out to your club president to check-in and encouraging your PE as they get ready to step into the leadership role. The last of these is the most important, especially for our PE Lynne Lindsay. Not only is the start to the year in flux because of COVID-19 (finding a temporary meeting location, changing the installation party, how to pull off a fundraiser, etc...) her husband Skip was rushed to the hospital this weekend and is waiting for surgery for appendicitis. Over the next several weeks you would normally see the PE taking an increasingly visible role, but Lynne will need to keep her distance as Skip recovers. Don't let her lack of attendance fool you, she is still working hard behind the scenes to make sure we have another great year for Roswell Rotary. Honoring Gary WaddellLong time Roswell Rotarian, Gary Waddell passed away Friday, June 5, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. A small, private service will take place at Roswell Funeral Home on Sunday, June 14, at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Reinhardt College where he and Brenda graduated and Gary was appointed board member emeritus. Please keep the Waddell family in your thoughts and prayers.
