President's Message
Ain't No Stopping Us Now

What a week!

The 42nd Aubrey Greenway and 8th Hagan Cup Classic was a huge success! One hundred and thirty golfers and over eighty tennis players joined the fun as we raised funds to support over thirty local charities. While he could not be with us in person, Malone took care of the weather. It was a beautiful day filled with fellowship, laughter and our hearts full of joy as we proved once again, “there ain’t no stopping us now”.

On Thursday, we hosted our second “sold out” blood drive. Who would have thought? It’s another sign that even during what many call the hardest of times, Roswell Rotarians are always willing to give. For those who were not able to join, we will host another blood drive early next year.

Saturday, was simply a GREAT DAY! We served over 200 burgers and dogs to law enforcement, fire and rescue, and 911 dispatchers at our first Drive Thru Cookout. The thank you’ s and smiles on the faces of our first responders will forever be ingrained in my mind.

Thanks to everyone who helped make our community a better place. You are a blessing!

This Week's Speaker
End Human Trafficking Now

Dave founded "End Human Trafficking Now" in 2012 with the goal to bring awareness and action, these include Business Engagement, Effective Law Enforcement and Sustaining Freedom though empowering survivors. In 2013 Dave was appointed worldwide Vice Chair of Rotarians Against Slavery with the mission to engage 1.2 million Rotarians and 35,000 clubs on over 200 counties to take on the issues of ending modern day slavery. Dave serves on Georgia’s Statewide Taskforce as workgroup chair “Deterring Traffickers and Buyers” though Business Engagement.

Dave will host a panel addressing the continuing effort to stop human trafficking in the state of Georgia. Guest speakers include First Lady, Marty Kemp who will share the work of the GRACE Commission and how the GBI and AG’s office work together.   John Fowler,  Dept. AG and Vic Reynolds will share their work on HT and also the collaboration between US Marshals, GBI, AG’s office and Wellspring Living. Recently 39 young children were rescued and placed even before they were rescued.

We will also hear from a survivor from Wellspring to tell her story of redemption and how Wellsprings, Woman’s academy program allowed her to receive a living wage job.
