FAMILY OF ROTARY
Our membership cares deeply about the needs and concerns of our members. We don’t want to miss an opportunity to reach out in friendship when such concerns arise. The chairperson of this committee is Lynn Dunn and all news should be directed to her at lynn.dunn@rmcpa.com

President's Message Talk About Rotary Connecting The WorldWe collected supplies from our club & Interact clubs, community members kicked in donations, the guys from FODAC are helping us get our donations to Florida and Ed Klaas's network is going to use a barge to take the supplies directly to the islands that need it the most in the Bahamas. This is another great example of Rotary connecting the world. Thanks to all who helped make this happen! This Week's Speaker Kaitlin Goode, Urban Wildlife ManagementKaitlin Goode is the Program Manager for GA DNR’s new Urban Wildlife Program. Kaitlin will be presenting on urban wildlife and the unique management challenges working in the metro Atlanta area present. The presentation will include biological and behavioral information about why wildlife does what it does in metro Atlanta, different ways to resolve conflicts in your community and ways to prevent the conflict before it starts. Rotary Collection October 24 Jackets & Coats Needed For NFCC
The weather is cooling down and NFCC is collecting coats to be ready to help those in need stay warm this winter. Bring your gently used coats and jackets to our meeting and June Brown will get them to NFCC. See June for more details or to make a donation to this worth while cause. Thursday, October 24 | 5:30PM - 8:30PM World Polio Day At Houck'sJoin us at Houck's for a drink and appetizers or stay for dinner. In honor of World Polio Day a portion of the proceeds with go to Rotary International's Polio Plus fund. Bring friends and family to help us pack the porch and raise money for a great cause. We hope to see you there.
Halloween Meeting Costume ContestOur club meeting falls on Halloween this year and we have some spooky fun planned. Our Interact Clubs will be with us to kick off the year, so come dressed up to compete in a club costume contest, help us provide treats to the students and hear ghost stories from Roswell Ghost Tours. The kids will love this and we might have a little fun too! Friendly Reminder Early Voting Has BegunWhile we don't endorse any candidates nor are we a political organization, as leaders of our community we should get out and vote. Early voting is available at City Hall or the East Roswell Library from 8:30AM to 5PM 10/15-10/18 and 10/21-10/26. From 10/28-11/1 early voting is available from 8:30AM to 6PM. Friday, November 1 - Sunday, November 3 GRSP Weekend Host Families NeededThe North Fulton Rotary Clubs are hosting a GRSP weekend and looking for volunteers to host students. This is a great way to meet some awesome kids from around the world. Hosting starts by picking your group up in Alpharetta on Friday evening and ends by dropping them off on Sunday morning to head back to school. In between you feed them breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings and join the whole group (including your family) for dinner on Saturday night. If you are interested in hosting, please contact Alex Kaufman at (404) 964-5587. Thursday, November 7 | 12:15PM - 6:15PM Honoring Our Veterans
We will be honoring our members who served in the armed forces or have family members who served they would like to invite to join us. After a meeting dedicated to our veterans we will head out for a tour of our local war memorials, ending with a reception at the American Legion. SEE THE DETAILS
