FAMILY OF ROTARY

Our membership cares deeply about the needs and concerns of our members. We don’t want to miss an opportunity to reach out in friendship when such concerns arise. The chairperson of this committee is Lynn Dunn and all news should be directed to her at lynn.dunn@rmcpa.com

President's Message

Investing in the future.

It was a pleasure showcasing the accomplishments achieved by our Roswell Interact clubs and honoring Stacy Perlman as she moves into a new chapter of her life in retirement.  She has been a great inspiration for so many of our children in our schools.  Thank you Michael Schoppenhorst for organizing the students and Stacy for your leadership.  We look forward to seeing you in service at our club in retirement.

We also heard about some outstanding young high school students who truly have service above self in their hearts.  Eight years ago Roswell Rotary honored Roswell High School student Davante Hill with a similar award which had a lasting impression on this Roswell High Student.   Davante still remembers that day, and today he is part of the leadership team for our new Satellite club. Planting seeds for the future of this club!

Speaker Thu: Panashe Sivindani- Our GSRP Student!
A year in Roswell through the eyes of Panashe

Excited to have Panashe Sivindani, our GSRP student from Zimbabwe, at Rotary this week. She will be filling us in on all of the exciting things she has been a part of while being with the Roswell Rotary Club-including a special service project for girls called Grace Period to help eradicate period poverty in Zimbabwe.

Come join us Thursday and find out what Panache has been seeing, learning and doing! We know she rides a mean scooter! And is eager to thank you all in person for her fabulous year!!

If you can't be 'in person' for lunch
Zoomit, Maskit or Live - Join Us Thursday from Where Ever You Are

We now have multiple “zoom cameras”, so you won’t miss a minute of the action. Join us from where ever you are!

There are times that travel or business obligations challenge your ability to attend our lunch meetings. Our speakers’ messages, Terry’s stories and messages, event updates, announcements and awards. Happy dollars and Hal’s raffle comments.

It’s not that you have to attend all of our meetings. It’s that you want to. And now you can.

Enjoy everything about our meetings except for the fried chicken.  Attend all meetings virtually thanks to Bob Clarkson and team who provide the camera work and audio so that you can connect via Zoom for some or all of the week’s meeting.

Click HERE to join (or click on the Zoom icon above): https://us06web.zoom.us/j/86497139508?pwd=QTBETGdwdjVrUjlCejBabWJ4eG55QT09

Should you detect a technical issue, you can text or call Bob Clarkson at 404.201.1292 or Becky Nelson at 404.406.6121.

After Hours Club Update

Now that we are officially inducted as members, it's time to start brainstorming what our plans are for our satellite club! We will be creating a "vision board" and discussing our hopes, dreams and visions for After Hours. Got ideas for service projects or social events? Be sure to bring 'em! See you at The Artillery Room for what's sure to be a productive, interactive and FUN meeting! Don't forget that After Hours meets the first and third Tuesday of the month.

Tue, Apr 19: Business Networking Rotary-Style continues
Smarter Biz Dev because it's with Fellow Rotarians (District Event)

This is an opportunity for you or someone on your staff, or someone you are interested in recruiting to Roswell Rotary:

This is networking with people who have the integrity of the 4 Way Test!  This is why Paul Harris formed Rotary for 1905. Professionals with diverse backgrounds could exchange ideas, form meaningful, lifelong friendships, and conduct business together. Paul Harris was networking well before the term “networking” was used to describe connecting people in order to build a business network.

Our last gathering again drew a crowd from the Atlanta Metro, Dunwoody, Peachtree City, Roswell, Sandy Springs and Tucker clubs.

While Rotary is about "Service Above Self," there is a growing place for networking in Rotary, particularly for those responsible for generating revenue.

Location:     5 Minutes inside 285 and Ashford-Dunwoody Rd

             Marlow's Tavern
             Brookleigh Market Place
3575 Durden Dr NE #301, Atlanta, GA 30319

Please plan to join us on Tue, Apr 19th  from 6:30 - 8:00pm.  We'll also meet Tue, May 17 at 6:30pm.

For more information, please contact Hal Schlenger HSchlenger@GreatSouthBenefits.com | (770-335-0077), or Johnathan Clark of the Tucker Club (johnathanmclark@gmail.com | 404.512.6058).

Rotary Dates to Save
This is Where the Magic Happens. Will You Join Us?

This is what earns Roswell Rotary such a great reputation … and "Club of the Year" recognition. Plan to attend … and think about bringing a friend or prospective new member.

If you believe in Rotary's mission and recognize the value our club brings to our community and our world, then share it with others!
