President's MessageWhen Roswell Rotarians donate to the Rotary Foundation, our donations return to District 6900 and to us after three years in the form of grants that can support our projects and endeavors. The most basic of these is the Standard District Grant which each club in the District can apply for and receive each year. This year, the recipient of our grant is the Unity Garden at the Chattahoochee Nature Center. For almost 12 years now, produce grown in the Unity Garden has been donated to North Fulton Community Charities to provide fresh food to many needy families in our community. This bounty amounts to 8 - 10 tons of food each year! Our grant donation will allow the Nature Center to purchase replacement tools badly needed after 11 years in operation as well as seed which has seen price increases similar to most everything we buy.
Come hear more about the Chattahoochee Nature Center this week, one of many local charities and non-profits that benefit from our annual Golf and Tennis Tournaments. See you Thursday!

Goose, the Roswell Police Department's new explosive ordinance and community relations dog stopped by! He stole everyone's heart with his goofy demeaner, playful smile and consistent sniffing! The club loved learning about how he serves the Roswell community. Additionally, After Hours welcome a new member! Welcome, Justice Brakache! Congratulations--the club is lucky to have you! The next After Hours meeting is Tuesday, August 16th at 6:30 at the usual spot, The Artillery Room at Gate City. Past President Moment - Trummie Patrick, Jr. - 1987-88
You've seen the
banners at the front of the room about our many Club of the Year awards.
But to win this type award, a club has to win first place awards in many
categories. This past president led us to our very "first"
first place award at the district level. But more importantly, he led the
club when we inducted our first women members, one of whom is still a member
after 35 years. Come find out what else happened thirty five years ago at
Roswell Rotary when we hear from Trummie Patrick, Jr. Tennis Clinic Invite
