President's Message

“Change is the only constant in life.” – Heraclitus

More than two thousand years ago, Heraclitus observed what we still experience every day: the world never stands still. Economies evolve. Technology advances. Threats emerge. Communities grow. The only question is not whether change will come—but whether we will recognize it, understand it, and respond wisely.

This week’s reflection is about changing times—and about our obligation, as leaders in the civic, professional, and faith communities of Roswell, to stay informed so that we know where and how to serve. Service Above Self is not passive goodwill. It is active awareness. It requires us to look at the world as it is becoming, not as it once was. [read more]

William Vestal: Artificial Intelligence from a Different Viewpoint

Date: Thursday, March 5
Time: 12:15
Location: Roswell Area Park
Bill Johnson Community Activity Building
10495 Woodstock Road
Roswell, GA 30075

Roswell Rotary welcomes William Vestal, a technology executive and consultant with more than two decades of experience in software engineering, product development, and organizational leadership. His work centers on development of high performing teams through a deep understanding of customer/market needs, technology landscape, and business drivers to inspire the organization to achieve measurable outcomes. William currently serves as a Consulting CTO and SaaS Innovation Consultant, Board Member and Advisor, helping companies strengthen product strategy, modernize platforms, and navigate emerging technologies such as AI, rules engines, and large‑scale data processing. He previously held senior roles at Emburse, including Chief Technology Officer, where he oversaw engineering strategy and platform development.

Before Emburse, William led product development for the Casualty division at CCC Information Services, where he managed modernization of a long‑standing platform and coordinated integrations with major insurance partners. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly a decade at Cotiviti (formerly iHealth) in roles spanning innovation, digital content management, and technical solutions. William has also contributed to several startups and earlier held positions with Thoughtmill and Scientific Atlanta. He is a co‑inventor on multiple patents related to mobile authentication, algorithm explainability, and data privacy.

He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and has completed advanced coursework in deep learning and neural network optimization. William describes his current “why” as helping people and teams grow, supporting both organizational goals and individual development.  "I deeply care about development team members growth and happiness while ensuring alignment to client value. I have expertise in rules technologies, AI, and large scale data processing solutions."  His skill include: development coaching, innovation, organizational architecture, product road mapping, scaled processing (healthcare/payment/security), ML feature engineering, quality methodologies, software engineering, and team building.
