Four new clubs were chartered during Ralph’s term: Sylvester/Worth County, December 12, 1990, sponsored by Pelham; Roswell East, on March 23, 1991, sponsored by Roswell; Muscogee/Columbus, sponsored by Columbus, and Jackson/Butts, on April 10, 1991, sponsored by Clayton County and Henry County.
A Group Study Exchange, headed by “Woody” Woodward, travelled to District 190 in Germany.
The district had a distinct honor when Victor Mazolin, President of the Moscow Rotary Club, the first Rotary Club in Russia, visited the district.
New Interact Clubs were sponsored by South Fulton, Stone Mountain, Marietta, and Griffin Rotary Clubs.
The District sponsored two Ambassadorial Scholarships: Buckhead endorsed a scholar to Costa Rica, and East Cobb endorsed a scholar to Cairo, Egypt.
A Family Friendship Exchange group travelled to bonnie Scotland with Tom Kent as the leader.
Roy Simmons, of Marietta, was District Conference Chairman, and the attendance was 1100.
The North DeKalb Rotary Club recognized the service to the district of PDG Fred Culbreth with a $30,000,00 gift to the GRSP Endowment Fund, creating a Named Fund in honor of Fred.
The Rotary Youth Leadership Awards conference was held at South Georgia College in Douglas, Georgia.
