Stone Mountain Creates Birthday Greetings for Community

In May, Stone Mountain Rotarians spent a lunch meeting assembling "Birthday Bags" for the Stone Mountain Cooperative Ecumenical Ministry. Each of the 60 bags contained a baking pan, a box of cake mix and frosting, birthday candles, and birthday-themed tablecloth, napkins and plates. The SMCEM is an ongoing community support project for the Rotary Club of Stone Mountain, and serves the needy in the Stone Mountain community by providing food, personal care items, and limited emergency financial assistance. The Birthday Bags will be added to SMCEM's food inventory, and distributed to families who otherwise might be unable to celebrate a child's special day.
