Griffin Daybreak Learns from Variety of Speakers

Griffin Daybreak Rotary has had an interesting collection of speakers, including:

  • Tairoa Reynolds, a nurse and founder of Asher House, a newly forming group home for persons with developmental disabilities.
  • Suzanne Land of Conexon Connect, a company that helps provide reliable, affordable internet service in rural areas.
  • State Representative Karen Mathiak who shared information about the district maps, a group economic development trip to Ireland, vouchers for students in failing schools, and the "Certificate of Needs" for regional hospital locations.

Club President Dylan Blasingame presented a children's book to Ms. Reynolds, which will be donated to a local school with her signature. Each of the speakers received a book to sign in recognition of our appreciation for their presentations.
