I'm
excited to host our District Governor George Granade this week at Rotary and
share with him the many things that Roswell Rotary has already accomplished
this year. Things like:
Launching the impactful Roswell Teen Talks podcast
series developed by Wellstar and Roswell Rotary to address behavioral
health with our teens in this stressful post-Covid world.
Funding needed replacement tools and seed for the
Unity Garden at the Chattahoochee Nature Center utilizing our district
grant.
Donating blood to the American Red Cross on a quarterly
basis.
Our Golf and Tennis Tournaments that raise funds for
projects like the Teen Talks podcasts and support many local charities.
Honoring our police and fire personnel with our 3rd
Annual First Responders Cookout around 9-11.
Hosting our second Rotary Youth Exchange student La
Neige from Thailand.
Hosting our latest GRSP student Emilio Ochoa from
Columbia.
Sending bottled water to Jackson, MS after historic
flooding disabled the city's water system.
Collecting trash as part of Rivers Alive along the
Chattahoochee River.
Spending a beautiful Fall day at Gary Garrett's farm
for our annual Farm Day event.
The budding partnership with the City of Roswell to
redesign and revitalize a neighborhood park in Roswell's only high
vulnerability zone.
Building a float with the Interact clubs for the Youth
Day Parade and taking home 2nd place, Civic division.
And
that's just the first three months! Be there Thursday when DG George
shares with us what our District is doing this year.
