Peachtree City Celebrates Miss Georgia 2026 and Her Service Initiatives

The Rotary Club of Peachtree City was thrilled to welcome Miss Georgia 2026 Sophia Wootten, a hometown girl making a difference across Georgia and beyond! Introduced by Past District Governor Steve Ivory, Sophia shared her remarkable journey of resilience, determination, and purpose. Having endured 20 surgeries in 20 years, Sophia has transformed her personal challenges into a mission of advocacy and inclusion.

Through her nonprofit, AccessAbility Georgia, she champions disability awareness, educational accommodations, and opportunities for individuals with hearing loss and craniofacial differences. As a Youth Advocate for Smile Train, she has also supported legislative efforts surrounding the Ensuring Lasting Smiles Act, which seeks to expand insurance coverage for medically necessary treatment of congenital conditions.

Her powerful message, “You shouldn't have to earn the right to belong,” reminded us that everyone deserves acceptance, opportunity, and a voice. What an inspiration to see one of Peachtree City's own using her platform to create lasting change!
