Smyrna’s Campbell Middle School’s expansive courtyard needed some leaves raked and TLC. It has a few trees, many bushes, a sidewalk with a nice little circle at center, etc. Smyrna Rotary Club’s Kevin Young, Jae Scarborough, Paul Powers, Patricia Huff and Narayan Sengupta got their rakes, leaf blower, pruners and more, organized leaves into large piles and got some trimming done too. Says Sengupta, “We had fun, wore masks, stayed socially distant, got the project done in a couple of hours, and it already looks a lot better. A big part of Rotary is community service projects. We’re always looking for more.” To get involved or to suggest a project, contact Sengupta at f25@nfiweb.com.
