Charlene Hall, Alzheimers Update

Charlene has been both a political volunteer and staff member for various campaigns. Charlene was the campaign manager for the late Senator Paul Coverdell in his last race for the Georgia State Senate. In addition, she has had responsibility for recruiting and organizing volunteer workers in several political campaigns. Charlene has served on the National Platform Committee of the Republican Party, and as a delegate to the Republican National Convention. She has twice served as president of her local chapter of P.E.O., an international philanthropic educational organization.

She designed and has led several Rotary training sessions for spouses. A frequent speaker on Rotary’s Polio Eradication Initiative including awareness and fundraising efforts, Charlene created a presentation designed for elementary school children on the cause and effects of polio and the need for eradication. In 2006 she participated in a polio National Immunization Day (NID) in Uttar Pradesh, India. She serves as a Regional Director for CART (Coins for Alzheimers Research Trust). Charlene speaks frequently about the devastation of Alzheimers Disease and the need to provide seed money for cutting edge innovative research. She is also a Major Donor & Bequest Society Member and in 2017 received the Rotary International Spouse/Partner Service Award for Humanitarian Service.

Charlene has been an active leader, volunteer and fundraiser in many community based organizations involving at risk youth. She has been a Sunday school teacher, Cub Scout Leader, and volunteered with Hands on Atlanta, the American Red Cross, First Love Kids, the Atlanta Day Shelter for Women & Children and the Salvation Army.

Charlene is married to Robert Hall. The Halls are active members of their church, have taught Sunday School and been involved with youth programs. Robert has served as Chair of the Finance Committee and Chair of the Board of Deacons. Robert and Charlene have  three children and seven grandchildren.
