Picture 2: Before the pandemic, the Jackson-Butts County Rotary Club helped community seniors celebrate Valentine’s Day.
Picture 3: Before the pandemic started, the Rotary Club of Polk County presented a $500 check to the City of Rockmart Police Department to start the “City of Rockmart K-9 Fund!” We are PROUD to be the first to donate! This is only the beginning of the fundraising to follow within our supportive community!! Accepting the check, Chief Turner said, “If we find one missing child or a lost and vulnerable adult, this program pays for itself. Our goal is to expand the services that we are able to provide to our citizens without making all taxpayers pay for it. K-9’s have proven to be valuable in terms of drug enforcement, criminal apprehension, and search and rescue. They are also great for community policing at special events and functions.”
Picture 4: The Rotary Club of Fayette Daybreak was happy to finally present Royal Animal Refuge with funds from our Wine Tasting Event in February. The pandemic has made so many things complicated, but we were glad to finally be able to provide support to this great organization. We also made donations to Fayette Humane Society and Hearts N Homes. Many thanks to all the groups looking out for animals during these COVID-19 times.
