District Conference 2018 Update
Register to Win! and Start Planning for Rotacon 2018

Everybody loves prizes, and registering for Rotacon 2018 makes that easy. Starting November 16th through March 15th, Rotacon 2018 registrants will have seven chances to win one of the awesome prizes below.

The Rotacon Command Crew just returned from a productive planning weekend in Sandestin. Details for a few key elements that are new for district conference were tweaked and confirmed as follows:

Friendship Lounge: A new element for district conference, the Friendship Lounge, will be a central place where all conference attendees can visit for refreshments or snacks and to socialize. Clubs that do not typically host a hospitality suite but would like to sponsor and staff a shift in the Friendship Lounge may do so for only $250. All room, food and beverage costs are included in the sponsorship. All you have to do is sign up and take a shift. Scrapbooks and House of Friendship displays: Clubs are not being asked to provide scrapbooks or House of Friendship displays for Rotacon 2018. Instead, clubs are asked to provide a short (about 3 minutes max) video highlighting their club’s activities for the year. Video will be played on a district-provided display in the Magnolia Foyer of the Baytowne Conference Center and at other points during the conference.

Friday Breakout Sessions: An engaging series of breakout sessions are being organized for Friday afternoon from 1:30 to 3:30 pm. Examples include:

  • Building Partners at Home and Abroad for International Work
  • Rotary Community Corps: Community Solutions for Community Challenges
  • Rotary Leadership Above the Club Level
  • Leveraging Club Flexibility and Working ”Outside the Boundaries"
  • And many more
