The Rotary Clubs of Griffin and Griffin Daybreak thank District 6900 for assisting with their recent Potential Member event. The two clubs joined together in April as hosts for a Rotary member acquisition social. Invitees from both clubs mingled with club officers and board members and learned more about Rotary International.
Jackie Wilson, President of Griffin Daybreak and Brett Bell, Griffin Rotary board member, talked about their individual club’s involvement in the Griffin Spalding County community. Five attendees from the evening requested an invitation to a Griffin Rotary weekly program and several indicated intent to apply to one of the clubs. Everyone had a great time that evening and both Rotary clubs were able to talk directly to potential members in an easy and fun setting. The program was planned after an invitation from the District to host such an event with District financial support for each club involved.
