Dunwoody Donates Operating Table to Haiti

The Rotary Club of Dunwoody recently supplied funding to provide a much needed operating table to the Medical Clinic of Hope in Terre Blanche, Haiti.

The club's International Director Louise Barden accompanied a US medical team to Haiti in November and assisted a physician performing a minor surgery in the clinic’s operating room.

Because the table is adjustable, it provides positioning and support for a wide range of procedures including cataract surgery, cyst excisions, gynecological and other operations. Prior to obtaining this Operating Room Table, surgeries were performed on a hospital gurney which made positioning patients difficult and required the surgeons to work in uncomfortable positions for hours.
