The Rotary Foundation Looking for a Global Grant Project?
If your Club has never participated in a Global Grant
Project, or if has been a while since you did, please consider financial
support for another District 6900 Rotary Club on projects they are proposing to
start this year. Right now, there are two Global Grant Projects that welcome your help. If you have interest or need more information, please contact Anne Glenn
at adillardglenn@gmail.com:
There is a project to provide mobile mammography screenings with early warning cancer awareness and training for women in Northern Bangladesh low income communities. This project’s International Partner is the Rotary Club of North Columbus and they need help funding mammography equipment, supplies, training materials, mammography film and Ambulance transportation.
In Haiti, Clubs are joining Rotary Clubs in Zones 93 & 94 to purchase and install a “C-Arm” Imaging Machine. The equipment serves a community of more than 1 million people who use Motorcycles as the most common means of
transportation. Last year the local
hospital saw 1400 motorcycle related traumas, and 40% of these case outcomes would have been improved with the use of this
imaging machine if it had been available in their area. The Rotary Club of Dunwoody is the
International Partner on this Project.
